Modern Warfare 2: How Addicting it Really Is
We all know how awesome Modern Warfare 2 is. Whether it's the epic single player, the amazing Spec Ops, or the phenomenal online multiplayer, all of us guys (and some girls) can freely admit that we've been simply addicted to it for the past 3.5 weeks. I'm sure most of us have never sat in front of our TV for so long.
But while looking at the global leaderboards for total score on Xbox Live yesterday, and browsing the internet, I realized how addicting it really is for most people. Over 510,568 people (and probably much more) have played an astonishing total of anywhere between 3 and 12 days on multiplayer alone, not even counting Spec Ops or Single Player. I was AMAZED at this. Since the release date of Modern Warfare 2 (November 10), and now (December 3) over 500,000 gamers who play Xbox Live and probably A LOT more have played at least 9-11 days, which means that they have spent about half of their time since (23 days since release) playing a video game.
I'm not trying to insult anyone here since I do play a lot myself, but aren't there better things to do in life than play a video game 24/7?

yeah, tis more addicting than heroin
At this very moment I am resisting the urge to play into the wee hours of the night. I think I was more addicted to the first Modern Warfare or I have become stronger as far as will power goes. Awesome game though.
Really, the game is lots of fun, but I think it's surely due for DLC already.

modern warfare two isn't that hard I managed to complete it in 8hrs 16 minutes. that is addictive to play, But no where near as addictive as online play!
I was addicted to this game, I was around level 60, beat the whole single player campaign in under 4 hours, and completed 4 levels of special ops. That all was until I got the red ring of death last night. Someone said it earlier though, it feels like you're only playing about a half hour and 4 hours go by...
I really don't like the game. Battlefield is much better in my opinion.
However, my roommate is really addicted to MW2.
Halo is still my favorite.
yes it is extremely addictive but never forget the fact called "hacking"!
i think it is kinda impossible for someone which is still in level 1 to be number 1 in the world and have played 23000 days..
