Sanyo Xacti HD 2009 Lineup

Sanyo has announced their new Xacti HD Camcorder lineup for 2009. They were announced in January. The new camcorders include the HD2000, FH1, WH1, TH1, CA9, and the CG10.

Sanyo VPC-HD2000 and FH1

The Sanyo HD2000 and FH1 are the only 2 FULL HD camcorder that you can buy from Sanyo. The 1080p camcorder is reasonably priced, and is pretty cheap for a full HD camcorder. It has many special features that many cameras don't have. Some include:

• Full 1080p HD Quality with 60fps
• 8 Megapixel still pictures
• 10x Optical Zoom, 16x Advanced Zoom
• Super Slow Motion Speed Camera (600 fps and 240 fps)
• Face Chasing Technology
• HDMI Output

The FH1 has the first Sanyo horizontal traditional look. It has a 3 inch LCD Screen and is a small camcorder. The only difference between the HD2000 and the FH1 is that the FH1 is a horizontal look and the HD2000 is the Sanyo Pistol Grip style. It is also more expensive and comes with a dock, where the HDMI output is located. The HDMI is located ON the camcorder for the FH1. The FH1 has a 8 GB internal memory, which makes it even better. 

Sanyo VPC-WH1 and TH1

These camcorders are both the traditional horizontal look. These aren't full HD and is a 720p camcorder. The WH1 is a full waterproof camcorder that is absolutely great. The very special feature on the WH1 is the 30x optical zoom. It can go in water as far as 3 meters. It only takes 2 megapixel still pictures, but it has a long battery life of around 3 hours and 20 minutes. The TH1 is the same thing, except it isn't waterproof. 

Sanyo VPC-CA9 and CG10

These Sanyo Xacti camcorders are both 720p camcorders. The CA9 is also a waterproof camera, except it is pretty much a stripped down version of the WH1. It has the pistol grip and can only go in water 1.5 meters. The positive thing is that it takes a 9 megapixel still picture. 

The CG10 is a bit different. It is a lot slimmer than the previous generation and has a 3 inch widescreen LCD display. It only has a 5x optical zoom. It has a better still picture quality, which is a 10 mega pixel picture.
