Photoshop Worth It?

I have been using Photoshop for a few days now and the question has come to me. Is Photoshop worth it?

Though I have been using the free trial version of photoshop which comes with all the features but just for a limited amount of time, I am still using it. So far I can do many things with Photoshop that I thought I could never do with any other image editor. But there are a few that comes close. But before we go into names, lets give Photoshop a chance by telling you the goods.

First of all Photoshop is a wonderful experience of image editing because you can find so much help not just from the help menu but also from tutorials. So it is not considered an unknown name. Another reason why Photoshop is a good software is that it is at a big cost which means that it should have all the tools you need.

The bad of Photoshop is only one thing, Adobe is thinking way to highly of this software and is pricing it at around $700! But if Adobe lowered the price of Photoshop, it would be a lot more affordable for people.

And now for the names of other related image editors. If you need an image editor and you do a lot of image editing on the go, then you should buy the best replica to Photoshop, its called Pixelmator. I have tried the demo and I think it is a great software. But if you are a person who does it only once in a while and does not want to pay anything, you might want to tryPICNIK.COM. This website does all the minor work of a regular image editor and puts it all online. So you don't have to pay a dime or use up any hard drive space!

So back to our question, is Photoshop worth it? Well Photoshop has its advantages but I don't think you should pay $700 unless that is your career.

Pixelmator is great for amateur work, if you're into webdesgn, graphics design etc more heavily, then Photoshop is definitely the better investment.
