Could this be Nintendo's year?

With the Nintendo DSi coming out in 3 markets in a week, and the Wii dominating in sales, you wonder, will this be Nintendo’s year? There is much evidence that, yes it will be Nintendo’s year. With a good line up and good consoles Nintendo is ready to have a good 2009.

A good line up

With a good line up of games coming out such as Excitebots, Punch-Out!, Rhythm Heaven, and The Legend on Zelda: Spirt Tracks, Nintendo has a good line up. Also the existing line up is very strong. With many titles hitting 10 million sales or even more. This line up is also very good for demographics. Because it has good games for young and old. Even for casual gamers or hardcore gamers.

Good Consoles

Nintendo has consoles that are very fun and that are sales breaking. The Nintendo Wii has just hit 50 Million sales worldwide, while Nintendo DS has hit 100 Million sales, the public is proving that they like Nintendo and they want it to stay at #1. Nintendo DSi will seem to make sales go at a more faster rate. Right now Japanese consumers are buying DSi’s at a impressive rate. With over 71,000 sales a WEEK it may provide a preview of how sales will be here in North America and Europe and Australia. Plus having a camera, mp3 player, downloadable games, and DS games the DSi will sure to be a hit. The Wii will keep dominating in sales. Since its a good fun console at a reasonable price, families will think “Well the Wii seems like a perfect fits since its cheap and fun”.

The future?

We still don’t know how next generation of consoles will shape up. But, there has been a pattern. Every time a company has a good console, the next generation they don’t. Who knows Nintendo may have a good Wii successor or not. We just have to wait.
