Review: Air Mouse Pro

Air Mouse is a great app for the iPhone and iPod Touch that cost $5.99 in the App Store. It basically allows you to control your computer using your iPhone or iPod Touch, it's like a wireless remote for your computer. It works great if you're doing a PowerPoint presentation, or if you're just sitting on the couch and you don't want to get up to your computer and control it yourself.

The app has a built it keyboard that works excellent with word processing programs such as Microsoft Word and many more. Once you type in a letter on the iPhone, it automatically displays on your computer instantly. As a matter of fact, I'm using the Air Mouse keyboard to type this review, and let me tell you that it works great! The only downside about the Air Mouse keyboard is that it doesn't support a landscape keyboard which is better for me to type on.

The app has a great feature for your Web browser that lets you control your browser with ease such as search, home, bookmark, stop, refresh and many more. It also has a media feature for your media player that lets you control many settings such as play, next track, previous track, volume, mute and many more.

One compliant that I used to have is that Windows Firewall was blocking the server to work on the computer. I then figured out a way to unblock it and now it works great every time I use it.

It's pretty simple how it works. You must have your iPhone or iPod Touch connected to WiFi, this will not work with cellular networks. You must also download the server from their website. You can download the server to your computer by going here. It supports both Mac and PC.
