The Halo Effect

The Halo Effect is something that can be affecting you, without your knowledge of it doing so. Candice, TheMacintosh1 on Youtube recently made a video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dZRPM-zqVfM) addressing the Halo Effect in Apple customers. She said that she started with an iPod and worked her way up from there moving from music devices to computers. My experience and interpretation of the Halo Effect is a little different.
When I first found out about Apple it was because my father had bought a G3 iMac for my sister. My first thoughts about it were, Where’s the tower? Why is the disk drive under the screen? And wow that is a beautiful looking computer. From there on I have surrounded myself with Apple, it took me up until 2 years ago to finally buy myself a Mac of my own.
For me I started high on the Apple chain, splitting the cost of an iMac G4. From there on I felt the need to surround myself with smaller Apple products, iPods, Mighty Mice, Mini Macs, etc. I approached the Mac experience as a car, first you buy the car, then you buy tires, stereo, and racing seats.
To conclude I though that I would ask you, How did you approach the Apple experience? Do you think that the Halo Effect is true for most Apple customers? Or do you think that smart spending can dodge it? Thanks for taking the time for reading. And please respond to:
