A Greener Apple
Hi There,
Today we will be talking about Apple and their constant urge to help our environment by improving their products. Apple often strives to make the best product possible while still making them as energy efficient as possible. Along with energy efficiency, they still want to make them recyclable as well. By the end of 2008, Apple planed to eliminate the use of wasteful materials and PVC in their products.
They succeeded!
Just look at their newest products. They have increased the ability for reuse of the materials in their products by building them from solid aluminum. Not only is this material robust and strong, but it can be reused over and over again. The best part is that they did this throughout their entire line of computers. That is amazing!
They also strived to make their products more environmentally friendly, by using arsenic-free-glass on all of their displays. Throughout the past year they gave every screen on their line of products an arsenic screen display. They were also the first manufacture to remove CRT Displays from their products and replace them with LCD Displays. That is just a true sign that Apple has always strived to make their line of products as good as possible.
Apple also wanted their displays to be as bright as possibly while still remaining as energy efficient. To solve this problem, they have integrated LED's into their displays. Now when you turn on any Mac or Cinema Display, the screen illuminates to full brightness at an instant.
Apple also strived to use less material while packaging their products too. Did you know that the current iPod Classic (Video) Packaging uses 82% less volume then the first generation. That is major, because the managed to cut the packaging by over a half. Just think of how much material that used!
However, if Apple keeps on doing what they are doing, they will become an even bigger environmentally friendly company. So, when ever you buy an Apple Product, be proud that you are saving the environment! You made a good investment in a trustworthy product that comes from a caring company! I thanks you for reading this post,
