Hiking Mt. Everest With A Macbook Pro
If using your Macbook Pro atop Mt. Everest isn't for you, you might think twice about traveling with mountaineers Ed Viesturs, Peter Whittaker, and other members of the latest Ascent team. They're not only taking one Macbook Pro. They're using two to film the expedition, and they're up there right now. At this very moment, two Macs are being tested in extreme weather, and you can be sure Apple will be watching this expedition. In order to film their ascent, the video goes on an Apple MacBook Pro from high on the mountain. It's then carried on memory cards down to Base Camp. Once there, the footage is loaded on to another MacBook Pro and edited for upload in Final Cut Pro. Let's hope their filming goes well. See the video below for more on how they use these two, sweet pieces of kit:

macs can only work in a certain temperature range. they better like heat them!
I just thought this was a cool thing, and I am sure others will. The cooler the better for a processor. They have said that the functionality is superior in cool weather. The only thing they have to do is heat the batteries up, but that's no problem for them. Other than that, the Macbook Pros function perfectly well.
