Tech For Charity! Giveaways...

Why?

At the beginning of the New Year (2009) my Aunt, whom was much loved, had a very big headache (or so we thought). Later in the day, she passed out. Having to go to the nearest hospital in the city an hour away things were looking skeptical. She was diagnose with a brain stroke and was brain dead. She could not talk, eat, or even open her eyes to see her 7, 12, and 17 year old kids. One even having the misfortune of being diagnosed with Down syndrome. After many painful and expensive surgeries the doctors finally came to the conclusion that nothing could be done. In other words she was to be in a vegetative state for life. Being a nice lady as she was…She was also an organ donor. She was let go by her family. However, not before everyone gave their respectful last goodbyes. She died and sadly left her 3 growing kids mother less. Yet also gave life to two other kids through her organ donations. Hopefully, with the help of the community through donations we can help brain strokes become a thing of the past and look forward to the next day.

How?

Through the tech community! Nothing goes over looked as I know people are understanding and no place is better than the one closest to home. There will a week of live broadcasts during Apples WWDC event starting June 8th. There will be popular tech reviewers broadcasting, giving away popular electronics, and hopefully many donations for the American stroke foundation. I look forward to seeing everyone there!

When?

Starting June 8ththrough June 14th. (times to be announced)
