Apple's Back to School Program: What Could be Better?

Today Apple brought back their Back to School program, which as you may know, is a progam where if you are a student and you buy a new Mac, you get a free iPod. This years iPod you ask? An 8GB iPod Touch. Granted this is not 32GB and Apple is going to update their iPod line as soon as you get your hands on it, this is still a great deal. The reality of the program is getting the money for a free iPod Touch. If you've been eying those new Nanos, Apple isn't going to stop you and get a smaller rebate. The rebate is given later after you purchase the iPod in store. Also, if you want a 32GB iPod Touch or an iPod Classic, they'll just give you a $229 discout and you'll pay the rest. Overall it's a pretty cool deal and why wouldn't you do it. The offer goes until October 8th, so you have plenty of time to deside on what Mac or iPod to buy.
