Do You Think We Should Pay for the 3.0 Software Update (iPod Touch)

Hello, first off I am going to say...I am an iPod touch user, and recently the iPod and iPhone both have a new firmware update, 3.0. But is it worth it?

Specs of the new software -

Cut, Copy and Paste

Bluetooth Stereo

Peer to Peer Gaming

Buy Films, Tv Programmes and Audiobooks via WiFi

Landscape Keyboard

and Spotlight Search

Now, here is my personal opinion of the new software and if I think it is worth it...

Firstly, the new software contains some features which I might not use, but things like Cut, Copy and Paste and Spotlight Search I will definatley use on a daily basis. Also, the Landscape Keyboard feature and the ability to buy films..ect via WiFi are other features which I will use daily.

But what about the things I won't use?

Although, all the features are great, and will serve other people needs, but new additions like Bluetooth Stereo and Peer to Peer Gaming, I probably won't use. There maybe times when I might try them, but I am not a 'big gamer' on my iPod. I use my iPod mainly for; Music, Movies, Tv Shows, Twitter, Internet. And as for the Bluetooth stereo, I do think it was an amazing new feature but there is a good chance that I won't use it, mainly because my iPod is my primary device for music.

In conclusion, I think the price is exellent for what they are offering but the price may come off as a bit stong for some 'non serious' iPod Touch users (I am a serious iPod user). I also think the for the non serious users the should be a narrowed version of the software containing the features they would use.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed my article and I really hope you leave your feedback in the comment section. Thanks for reading

I have the 1st gen ipod touch and im planning on upgrading to 3.0 soon, but ive had to pay so much for upgrades already! 20$ for the january software update (last year), 10$ for the app store and now 10$ for this, its very pricey!
