Logitech Z4 Speakers Review

logitech z4

The Logitech Z4 speakers are very inexpensive computer speakers, that offer a big punch in a little package. All that comes with the speakers is the 2 speakers, the subwoofer, and the volume controller. Setting it up is as simple as plugging a few cords in, and putting the speakers where you want them.

The satellite speakers themselves are very nice. They have 3 little speakers as you can see, and the sound never gets muddy. You can take off the stands of the speakers, by just removing a screw, and then mount them on the wall. The only thing I have noticed that isn't that great with the speakers is that they sound like they're right in front of you sometimes. Let me explain that, I have my speakers spaced 3-4 feet apart, and sometimes the sound sounds like its coming from my computer. Its not the same quality as my computer speakers, but it doesn't seem to have the surround sound aspect that it usually does. I should point out it doesn't do this all the times, just sometimes when I'm watching a YouTube video.

The subwoofer packs a huge punch. I have the bass turned up all the way, and when I get some music going, my whole desk can shake. If your not a fan of huge bass, you can turn it down by a little knob on the controller. The subwoofer is a very nice size. Its not to big that it will take up your whole, and is actually pretty small.

All in all I think this is one of, if not the best computer speaker systems you can get for under $100. You can find these online for around $70, and for that price, these are absolutely awesome. They never get muddy, and offer a whole, rich sound. They are also in a great design. I think these are great speakers, and if your looking for new speakers, I really hope you consider these.

The "sound coming from your computer" effect may be because on youtube, some videos are still in "Mono" and low bitrate quality. Therefore the "Stereo Image" suffers.

I could be wrong through. Somene smarter than me will be able to explain better.

Good Review though.
