Palm Releases WebOS 1.1 (Re-enables iTunes Syncing)

The cat and mouse game between Apple and Palm continues today, as Palm has released it’s WebOS 1.1, which is the firmware the Palm Pre runs on. It brings a whole host of improvements and also allows the Pre to sync with iTunes. This was initially possible, by making the phone fool iTunes in to thinking that it was an iPod. Apple blocked this just last week, with the release of iTunes 8.2.1. Palm, however, has sprung back and made it possible again. Apple has issued veiled threats to Palm, regarding the fact that intellectual property found in the iPhone can also be found in the Palm Pre. I wonder how long this small war will continue, between Apple and Palm.
