Apple Netbook or Tablet Rumors

Rumors about an Apple tablet have been spreading like wild fire lately, and its hard to know for sure if the rumors are right. There have been rumors of Apple coming out with a tablet for many years, but never with a magnitude like now. I think the biggest clue to an upcoming tablet or netbook is the news that Apple ordered 10 inch touchscreens for a product.

I think that Apple will definitely be coming out with a tablet soon, but the timing is the hardest thing to expect with Apple. Many people believe that they will announce it before the holiday season, and that seems like a great time for a release.

The only thing that would keep this tablet from selling as fast as the iPhone, is simply the price. Apple is known for having higher end products, that come with a higher price tag. There was reports that Apple had an $800 product coming out in the future. I think $800 is a little high for a 10 inch tablet, and that $600 would be an absolute sweet spot, but being a tablet from Apple, I think $800 would be the actual price.

Many people are worried about the operating system that the tablet would use. Of course it would be some form of OS X, but it would have to be an altered version to work with a touchscreen. The problem that it could run into is that some applications that we use on our normal macs, may not work with this tablet mac. I think that Apple knows this would either make or break the product, and that they are definitely going to work extra hard on this aspect of the tablet.

With all the rumors of a tablet, it starts to make you think that this tablet could actually come out very soon, and could change things like the iPhone did. I know Apple knows that this product could really change things, and theres no way they are going to put out a tablet that doesn't meet Steve Jobs' high standards.
