Quad Core iMacs and MacBook Pros?

Today, you would go to any computer store and find a PC for about $700 to $900 dollars with a Quad core processor. What about us mac users? i mean if you want a Quad core computer, you will have to buy a mac pro which is a bit expensive for the average user. I am thinking that the next generation of imacs will include a Quad core processor, especially since they have not updated them in a little while. maybe apple will put the same type of processor as the mac pro which is the intel xeon processor, or a intel core 2 Quad which is more for computers. Rather than the xeon which is more for servers,  what about mac pros? apple has always been advanced in what they do. Like how macbook pros expand to 8 Gigs of ram and are still pretty cheap, how thin they are, the operating system and the firewire. Who knows what steve jobs may do, he may pull a bunny out of a hat when he announces all the new things in a few months. Or even better! he may were a short sleeve shirt and a hat when we see him in a few months. what do you think? will apple include a Quad core to the imac or macbook pro? or even macbook! or mac mini?

Sony all-in-ones have had quad cores for a while now. Apple is really behind.

I think it'd a good idea for apple to put quad core processors in their computers as long as it didn't knock up the price too much. What they really need to do is make 4GB of ram standard on all of their computers. 2GB was cool like, a year or two ago, but it's about time they spend a little more cash to catch up to the specs of competing PC's.
