Major Boot Camp Problem

I've been wanting to install Windows on my Mac now for quite sometime just to get back into PC gaming. After trying out Parallels Desktop at a friend's house, I figured Boot Camp is a better way to go if all I need from Windows is gaming. I installed Windows and some of my favorite titles (The Orange Box, Prototype, Fallout 3, The Sims 3...) but I noticed a major drop in audio volume...  No matter what I tried, the max volume couldn't even reach half the volume I get on OS X. I must've searched a gazillion forums before giving up... Using earphones or hooking up to my sound system solved my problem but it still bugs me that the actual volume on Boot Camp is always that low...

Just giving a heads up if you're thinking about installing Windows... Depending on built-in speakers will NOT satisfy you.

Did you install your drivers correctly? I installed Windows on my Mac via Boot Camp and I haven't had any problems at all.

It's the total opposite for me. As a matter of fact it's so much louder on the windows side on my white MacBook. You might want to zap ur pram or update ur drivers.

I'm pretty sure I installed my drivers correctly... I've searched online and found that a decent number of other people are having this problem too...
