Snow Leopard Installation

Yesterday, after picking the Snow Leopard package up from FedEx (long story), I was very anxious to start installing and using Apple's new operating system. I put the disk into the superdrive and started following the on-screen installation instructions. It said it would take about an hour to install, so I left the room for awhile. Upon returning, I noticed that the disk had automatically ejected with Leopard still running. I put the disk back in and the same thing occurred. After about three times, I knew there had to be some peripheral causing this to occur. So I disconnected my external hard drive, but the disk still ejected. I disconnected my printer. The disk ejected. After disconnecting the last item, the installation went smoothly with no problems. My Wacom Bamboo tablet was the culprit. Make sure that before you install Snow Leopard to disconnect everything but a keyboard and a mouse. An external hard drive probably won't hurt, but in this case, be sure to disconnect you Wacom Bamboo tablet if you have one.

Overall, Snow Leopard installed smoothly. It is relatively stressless and painless. It is also a very fast installation.

That's interesting. I wonder why a tablet would have caused the problem? Be sure to check out my Snow Leopard Music Video! Tell me what you think it took hours of editing! http://www.thecreativeone.tv/socialblog/2009/8/30/snow-leopard-music-video.html
