Google Voice to be re-tooled as a Web App
Google Voice was originally allowed into Apple's App Store and it allowed people to make free phone calls and have a new phone number. Apple allowed it into the App Store but then one day, took it down and rejected it from the App Store. No one is really sure if it was Apple or AT&T who really shot it down but now some people really want it back. Google has decided to revamp Google Voice into a Web App for people on the iPhone. If it was a Web App, Apple would have no way of restricting its customers from going to that site.
Google Latitude didn't even make it to the App Store but it wasn't really planning on it. Google has already changed Latitude into a Web App for anyone on a mobile smartphone like the iPhone.
