Youtube To add Rental Program

Recently. I have been informed that you tube is going to add a rental system to there site. You will be able to download the newest DVD release's for a small fee

Ah, another way too make money. Oddly, i think its a good idea, really. What better way to make money, then to actually charge money. I mean millions of people visit this site every day, and not one of them pay a thing. So in youtubes mind if they add new features you have to pay for, then they may start to turn a profit, also they could give a huge blow to hulu, who have been stealing alot of the youtubers for the past year . At least thats what they thought.

Okay i'll tell you why i like this idea, and why i don't. First i like that they'll make there profit of costumers and the advertisements, this will surly bring them out of there deficit zone and create a good chance of a bit of profit. This will mean they can spend more time on more important things like fixing those dam view bars!!.  Also i like that i'll be able to rent movies, and i am sure the prices won't be that high!

Well, there i a few problems that i see. Ignorant youtube nerds will alway complain about change, be it good (widescreen) or bad (new channels), no matter what they'll find something wrong with it. This will mean thousands of negitive comments and the one star treatment on the videos that will be released about rental's. An other reason i don't fully like is me!, i have a struggling youtube page with limited views as it is (http://www.youtube.com/user/thepadtech). The fact of the matter is that i believe i make good videos, but i find it hard to get people to watch them. Imagine how hard it is when all my traffic goes to people watching "the dark knight " for the fourteenth time. So its not great for those small channel's on youtube, which could actuality be really good, but noone knows about them!

Honestly, I would only use it if it was cheaper than iTunes or had a better selection than RedBox.
