How Do You Deal With Computer Issues?

Hello everyone,

today I just wanted to see how you deal with computer issues, this could mean dealing with viruses, hackers, faulty programing ect.

So what is your routine? Leave a comment below explaning your routine on how you deal with getting past computer issues, I do realise that many Mac users read the blog and rarely experience viruses. So you can comment on getting through program glitches or again, faulty programing.

My routine: When I was younger, I used to panic, and give my computer to someone else to fix, but as I have matured, I usually keep calm, and run over my "plan" a couple of times in my head.  I also quickly research any tips or information on avoiding/fixing the problem I am encountering. Here is a weird thing I do, I turn off any distractions in my room, like the tv, so I can focus on what I am doing. Weird huh? Once the situation has been delt with, I try to get everything back to normal again.

There you have it! My routine of dealing with computer issues. Leave a comment below telling me yours.

Thanks very much for reading.

If the situation's really out of hand, I backup using time machine, reboot from the install cd and completely reformat my mac... this brings it back to it's maximum performance. i use time machine to restore my files and return them to the correct destination...

Whenever I get Viruses, then I just reformat the whole system. But If it just a minor, or small problem, then I just research how to fix it.
