Review: Logitech Z4i Speaker System

Today I'm going to be reviewing a set of speakers I recently acquired from Logitech. I quess it's what you would call a mid-range speaker system in today's market. It is available in black and even white for those who own Apple Computers. The speakers were bought from Amazon and they can cost up to around one-hundred bucks depending on the time. So in this review I would like to talk about set-up, quality of sound, and the overall value of the speakers. Let's get started.

These speakers were very easy to set-up. All conections were color coated and the cables themselves happened to be quite lengthy so don't worry about needing to purchase any other sorts of cables. Once adapted to my set-up it actually looked pretty nice. No complaints on the way anything specifically looked, but I read reviews on Amazon saying that Logitech really tagged their logo/brand to much on the speakers. I agree to an extent, but it wasn't that big of a problem. As a side note, the remote included is a bit of a finger print magnet so just wipe it down every once in a while. Just something to keep in mind.

The quality of the speakers was very surprising. When reading reviews online, many said that the speakers sound was thin. To me, this is on the contrary. If you know what your doing like me, use the equalizer built in to iTunes or Windows Media Player to adjust the levels. For those regular/normal computer users, iTunes has built in presets for those who are unsure of where to manually move those levels. Keep in mind that when the speakers come from the factory, they aren't adjusted to the music you listen to or the way you would like to listen to your music. Personally i use the equalizer within' iTunes and use the "Treble Booster" preset. Then I raise the dedicated bass nob on the remote to about three-fourths of the way. The bass is surely kicken'! Overall I was very impressed with the sound quality of these speakers.

As far as the value of these speakers go, I would definitally say they are worth the purchase although I myself recieved these as I gift and am very fortunate to recieve these. I really enjoy the fact that it has an included remote and the sound quality is quite exceptional. I think that sums up my review. If you have an questions, email me! Thanks for reading,

Chris Self
