CES 2010: LG announces new handsets.

Today LG has made a few announcements on brand new handsets for Sprint in the US and unlocked in Europe

LG Lotus Elite

The LG Louts Elite leaked out a few days before on a billboard around the Las Vegas Convention Center Area, though today it became official. It has a standard specifications of many messaging based cell phones, a full QWERTY keyboard and a 2 megapixel camera. It does a a few nice applications from Sprint which include, Sprint Navigation, Sprint TV, and TeleNav. It still retains the rather odd square design combined with a flip design. This lands on Sprint for $99 with a 2 year service agreement with Sprint.

LG Rumor Touch

LG has also announced that the LG Rumor Touch will also be available on Sprint. It is a mid-range touchscreen handset. Features include a 3 inch capacitive touchscreen, full QWERTY keyboard, GPS, and 2 megapixel camera. It also has social networking applications with a few Sprint applications mixed in as well. No price and release date have been announced, though Sprint's website says sometime in the Spring.

LG GT540

This LG handset has made a low profile appearance at CES 2010. This is a rather low end Android handset. Not much was give on the handset, though it does have Android 2.0 on board, and a 3 megapixel camera. It does come in a few colors like white, pink, dark gray, and black. This is slated for a European release, though no specific date or time frame was given.
