Vestalife Firefly

The Firefly is an iPod dock/speaker made by Vestalife, which is notorious for having well made and well designed iPod accessories.
The Firefly has three speakers two treble and one bass. The treble speakers are very small and get easily overpowered by the loud and large bass speaker, this means you will find yourself turning on the bass reducer feature in the EQ settings of your iPod. It has 3 buttons, power and volume up/down and a remote with all the functions you will need, a nice blue led volume level indicator gives it a nice blue glow at night.

The Firefly comes with many power adaptors from different countries, which means you save a lot of money by not having to buy your own ones. The cable is very long allowing you to have it far away from a wall socket, which is nice because the transformer from 240v to 10v uses an old system which creates a large magnetic field making it hard to listen to the radio if you have got it nearby. It also supports 9mm to VGA and comes with a double-ended 9mm cord for other devices and supports a mini USB to USB for connecting to a computer however does not come with the appropriate cord.

The firefly is a good purchase for only $ 249.95 NZ. I would give it an 8/10 since it has no major flaws and a nice sturdy design.

Pros:
*Non-slip rubber bottom.
*Powerful bass.
*Support for VGA.
*Nice design.
*Not too expensive.
*Battery compartment for use on the go.
*Foldable wing design makes it compact.
*User-friendly remote.
*Comes with wall socket adaptors.

Cons:
*Old style transformer uses more power and creates a large magnetic field, which interrupts with radio signals.
*Does not come with mini USB to USB or 9mm to VGA cords.
*Will have compatibility issues with older iPod’s.
*Cannot close wings with iPod inside.
