RipIt: Copy Any DVD Onto Your Computer

RipIt is a program developed by a company called The Little App Factory. This program enables you to rip almost any DVD and put it onto another blank DVD as a back-up disc. RipIt can also make a .m4v file, which will enable you to put your film/TV series onto your iPod/iPhone/iPad etc. The quality of the .m4v is outstanding. It is equal to films purchased via the iTunes Store. RipIt also copies the chapter information as well, so you can easily navigate to different scenes with ease. This is particularly good if it's a live concert, as you can easily skip to your favorite songs. RipIt also allows you to play it either through 2.1 or 5.1 speakers.

Overall I must say this is an essential piece of software for any Mac user. It copies the DVD perfectly into a .m4v file or a straight copy of the disc (without the annoying piracy ads at the beginning). The only reason why people may not want this programe is because you have to pay £12 for the software and there is other software available, such as Handbrake which enable you to do the same thing, but for free.

Trust me, it's worth paying for this software, as it's just so easy to use and you don't need to set up the formatting. I recommend you get the free trial, which can be found at: http://thelittleappfactory.com/ripit

Pros

+ Very simple and easy to use software

+ Makes straight copies of the DVD without the piracy adverts

+ The compress feature, exports in .m4v and is equal to iTunes  movie quality

+ If a DVD doesn't copy then you send the ISBN to little app factory they will then crack it and then provide users with a update to crack that particular DVD

Cons

- Price

- Some users may want more control over the formatting
