White iPhone 4 Canceled?
In June 2010 Apple Inc. unveiled the highly anticipated iPhone 4. While on stage Steve Jobs announced that the black model would be available that month (June). Indeed this was the case. Jobs also announced that the white version of the iPhone 4 would be available by the end of July 2010. Now in case you have not seen the white version of the iPhone 4, I truly feel bad for you because you are probably having trouble breathing with the weight of the 1 ton rock on your chest. Now sarcasm aside, the white iPhone really is a beautiful piece of technology.
Now that you have finished gazing, let's get down to the details. Yesterday an Apple spokeswoman had the following to say: "We’re sorry to disappoint customers waiting for the white iPhone yet again, but we’ve decided to delay its release until this Spring." Now excuse me, but this just sounds like Apple's way of saying we are really not going to release this model at all because it is our fault that we did not test the manufacturing process thoroughly enough before announcing the model to the public. Why do I say this, you may ask? Why would Apple release a new highly anticipated version of the iPhone 4 just 2 or so months before the expected launch of the iPhone 5 at WWDC? It just does not sound right to launch this so close to the next generation.
So what are your thoughts? Will Apple actually release the white iPhone 4? Will they cancel it all together? What about a white version of the iPhone 5?

I think they'll cancel the release of the white iPhone 4. I can't see them releasing a white iPhone 4 model just before they hold WWDC. I think we'll be seeing a white iPhone 5 instead.
With the announcement yesterday, I've just decided to wait for iPhone 5. There's no point in getting a white 4 in Spring (assuming it's released then). Apple really dropped the ball on this one. It's disappointing because I've been waiting to upgrade for a very long time as I still have a 3G, but I just hate the way the black iPhone 4 looks.
I think there will be no iPhone 4 in white but there will be a white iPhone 5
Just a quick update. The Withe iPhone 4 has been taken off of Apple.com completely. So what does that tell you?
Great post. Even if Apple do release the white iPhone 4 in spring of 2011, you'd have to be plain stupid to get it! With a brand new model just a couple of months away, why not just wait?!
