Lion = Last? Is it really that different?

Cheetah, Puma, Jaguar, Panther, Tiger, Leopard, Snow Leopard and Lion? Mac OS X 10.7 set to be the king of the jungle? Oh wait Apple already told us, with the name Lion it’s almost 99.99% chance it’s the last version of OS X! New features such as the App Store for Mac, Mission Control and Lauchpad!

Apple likes the App Store SO much they’re taking the App Store to Snow Leopard within 90 days from October 20, 2010. I think it will be a great thing! A quick easy way to download applications is always nice! Mission Control is a funny name but I don’t make them up. In Mission Control it’s like Spaces and Exposé combined with a few more features added in such as the windows are grouped by the application they’re opened in. Lauchpad is similar to and iOS User interface on a Mac. You can create folders and organize the applications almost exactly like in iOS! Lion has many new features, but lacks some improvements.

Lion has no basic UI changes. The Dock in the previews looks no different whatsoever. I was hoping for Lion to have features such as the Tiger to Leopard Update after all it’s the King of the Jungle! Can you wait for summer 2011 or do you want Lion NOW?
