Apple Daily 11/17/10
Mid week brought some stories that got me pumped, Hulu Plus was officially released at a lower price, Apple gets another member to it's board of directors, and we get some info on how the Beatles deal came to be.
Apple's iOS, Hulu Plus now $7.99/mo.
I am seriously considering to use Hulu plus now, they cut it buy $2 and put in a week free. Unfortunately, like expected, you must put in billing information before you start a trial thus you will be charged. The Hulu Plus service is not a whole new experience, rather more content and more ways to consume it. Hulu Plus offers many features listed below:
-Video Playback up to 720p HD
-Full Seasons of various popular shows ex. The Office
-Current full season runs of almost all shows
-Watch on many devices including iPhone/iPod Touch and iPad
Apple appoints Ronald D. Sugar to its board of directors
Dr. Sugar is a former chairman and CEO of the Northrop Grumman Corporation. Steve said that Ron is "an engineer at hear" and that is proved by his PHD in Engineering.
He said that he always admired Appleand is honored(who wouldn't be) to be selected.
There are currently 7 members on the board one of which is Steve Jobs.
Apple obtained exclusive rights to Beatles over Google, Amazon
If anyone were to get the rights to have The Beatles music up fro download it would be Apple. Apple will have exclusivity of The Beatles through 2011. Google and Amazon were both in the hunt, but didn't snag the catch. Lets hope Apple maintains the power, they will.
Not too bad for a Wednesday, and I'm going to look hard at Hulu Plus because I want the Office in HD all seasons. Check back tomorrow for more Apple Daily and look for some videos coming soon.
