Apple Daily 11/2/10
Tuesday was a good day for Apple fans, mainly on one story, Flash is here. Also iOS 4.2 is now in the Golden Master stage. Finally, Apple is dropping the prices on various macs, but NOT in the US!
Skyfire iOS browser approved by Apple, converts Flash video to HTML5
Now to be honest this is a low blow to all of the browser rules that Apple had in place, NO FREAKING FLASH. Yet, while you can consume flash content, there is a reason that it was not denied. It converts the content to HTML5. There are quite a few setbacks though. You can't stream Hulu, play flash games, and it costs $2.99. You make the choice when it comes out on Thursday.
Apple changes multitasking bar, MobileMe login in iOS 4.2 GM
So we saw the iOS 4.2 features a while back, but now this is looking like the final version ready for release. Some things that you'll see change is that screen rotation lock, Steve Jobs thinks that it would be better to have a mute switch there. Unfortunately for Mr. Jobs that pisses me and tons of others off. Why, because the device mutes by simply holding the volume button down! Apparently we need another switch right there. Also we get some AirPrint which really kicks ass. Also things look really nice and polished. So get ready for that coming soon within this month.
Apple drops Mac mini prices internationally
!@#$ THAT! I really don't see how Apple can go and reduce prices for people overseas. We are the heart of the Mac community and the Mac was CREATED HERE so why do they get the discount? The Mac Mini was the most noticeable one dropping by a whole 100 euros in the normal version and 149 euros in the server edition. That's a pretty hefty gift, maybe Apple thought that they needed a treat after we celebrated Halloween. Also noted is the MacBook and 13" MacBook Pro both just dropping under 30 euros. Maybe we'll see this come to us soon, we better.
Alright that's it for today, and remember if you want to listen to the Apple Daily segments in audio form, check out my YouTube channel.

Dude, you don't understand how ridiculously overpriced Apple products are in Europe. Even with the price drop you still get it cheaper in the us. £599 = $962, and you pay $699. Stop whining, you sound so spoilt to anyone outside the US...
In Germany the mini started at 809€ = 1142$. So stop crying. The 100€ pricedrop isnt enough for a fair price.
Look at the conversion rates for the EU prices into USD. Then you'll see why they dropped the price!
You clearly don't understand how much we pay here in the UK for example a MacBookPro in the US is $1199 which is about £745 and In the UK a MacBookPro is £999 I don't know how your complaining!
How about NZ a macbook pro is 200us cheaper in the us then in New Zealand
Sorry, am I hearing this correct? Macs in Europe and other places around the world are just as dear and even with a discount they still work out more expensive.
Secondly, the mac community spreads internationally, not just in the US. Doesn't matter where the company originated from, you'll find a mac community in the uk which is as equally passionate.
Also, there are places around the world where macs are not as popular and this is Apple reaching out And trying to expand their Market share internationally which clearly isn't as big as it's presence in the US.
You should really think about what you post before you post it as I'm sure many people would find that last update quite offensive and degrading. Remember, the Mac community is equal, nobody from once place of the world is no superior to another place despite what you think
