Apple to discontinue Xserve after Jan. 31, 2011
I think that most of us saw this coming considering how long the products length was. Apple is going to continue to support the Xserve users though. The replacement is the next story.
Apple offers new Mac Pro Server configuration to replace Xserve
There we are, it wouldn't be Apple to not replace a successful product. So just like with the Mac Mini Apple has gona ahead and made another desktop Mac into a server. Coming in at 2.8GHz Xeon, 8GB RAM, 2 1TB HDD's, Graphics with 1GB Memory, and a full license of Snow Leopard Server, is a pretty good replacement for the XServe. The only thing that XServe users won't like is the fact that they don't have the stackable killer storage. Well, thats pretty much all that has changed.
T-Mobile US mysteriously begins selling Apple iPhone USB cable
Who gave T-Mobile the right to use an Apple patented connector? Not even AT&T does this. So what does this mean? Well a few things, one they are letting people get info off of their iPhone and they can pick this up while buying a new phone. That doesn't really make sense, but the other option is that this leaked out un-intentionally and now it is out that they will be selling the iPhone. Maybe Apple will have a big conference next year announcing that it will be switching to other networks as well. Both seem fishy and we'll get more info soon, and I'll keep you updated on this story.
That's it for today... yesterday, whatever. Always remember to save your drafts and I'll have a small little edit on how I make this blog/posts. I have a feeling that some stuff will be surfacing over the weekend, if so just check back here and I'll put up a post.
