Is Jailbreaking iOS 4.2 a good idea?

Ever since iOS 4.2 came out, people have been searching for a jailbreak. When you search for a 4.2 jailbreak, only three will come up. Redsn0w, Pinkra1n, and the famous Limera1n. Sadly, all of these jailbreaks have a problem with iOS 4.2.
Redsn0w is a tethered jailbreak which means that every time you need to download something, your battery dies, or you have to restart your device, you have to connect it to your computer.
Pinkra1n is honestly nothing more than a joke. Yes, it's fake. When you search it, it will come up but it won't install or work. If by any chance you do get to install it, it will say that it jail broke your device but nothing will happen. No jailbreak, no Cydia, nothing.
Now for Limera1n. They claim to be the only untethered iOS 4.2 jailbreak out there that actually works, and if your a iPhone or iPod touch user, you maybe in for a treat. Limera1n does work for the iPhone and iPod touch, but you have to do it correctly which they won't explain for you.
Limera1n is for Windows only. Also it requires you to have the latest version of iTunes installed. When you run the program, you have to "run as administrator". You can do so by right clicking on the Limera1n icon and it will appear on the menu. If it doesn't, you don't have the right Windows edition. After you install it on your iPhone or iPod touch, you might see that the Limera1n icon won't appear. Reboot your device and if it still won't appear, well sorry but that's another flaw it has. Another thing that personally disappoints me the most is that Limera1n says it's iPad compatible, but unfortunately they are lying. It will not work on the iPad.
Will there ever be a good untethered iOS 4.2 jailbreak that works on all three devices? Probably but only time will tell.
