Android 2.3: A Quick Look at Some New Features

Above is a quick overview of what we shall be getting once Android 2.3 is released. There are a few new features, and also slight changes to the user interface. Gaming performance has been improved; also a gyroscope has been enabled. No doubt we shall see developers take advantage of this in the near future, so we should be getting more great games in the Android Market.

VOIP has been added, so we no longer need to download an application such as Skype to make phone calls over the Internet. And lastly, support for front and rear facing cameras has been added. So those that have a handset with two cameras will be able to take advantage of this. An app will be out soon allowing us to make video calls, similar to Facetime on iOS devices.
