Nintendo 3DS Announced!
It looks like Nintendo has announced their latest hardware update for the popular Nintendo DS. This time it’ll be called the Nintendo 3DS. Nintendo announced this information early this morning!
Nintendo claimed that when playing games in 3D on the 3DS you wont be needing to wear any 3D glasses to see the effects! The 3DS should be coming out some time in 2011, hopefully before March 2011. It will be compatible with previous games from the DS and DS Lite so any games you already have, you will be able to keep and continue to play on the 3DS!
Other rumours for the 3DS include an accelerometer, similar to the iPod Touch and iPhone, so you can enjoy tilt controls. No doubt there will also be a higher resolution on both the screens, possibly 720p.
Another new feature is that the console will still have both the screens, one being touch, but with some games you’ll be able to use the 2 screens together to make one big screen! Lastly for the rumours, the 3DS might include a 3G chip inside so users will be able to download games and possibly browse the internet whilst on the move! Other downloads could be available such as ebooks and maybe even short videos, similar to what has been seen on the DSi!
Stay tuned to DigiLounge for the latest information on the 3DS as it's revealed at E3 Expo in Los Angeles this June, by Nintendo.

Hmm I think '3DS' is just a code name like 'Revolution' was for Wii. Sounds really cool though.
