Review: Turtle Beach Ear-Force XLC
The Turtle Beach XLC’s are not that well known to the gaming world. I think they should be. I received this headset over 2 months ago and I have been using it nonstop for all my Xbox gaming needs. In my video below and in the next couple of paragraphs I’m going to be going over all the advantages and disadvantages to this headset and give my opinion on whether this headset is worth the price of $30.
The Turtle Beach Ear-Force XLC headset is extremely light and can be folded up for traveling. Whether it's to a mate's house or to bring it to some gaming championship, it will not take up much room in your bag. The arch above that sits on your head is covered with a really comfortable foam and then covered in this silky mesh. It provides grip, allowing you to play for several hours at a time. The left and right headphone speakers are also covered in the same texture and the sound quality is amazing. For example, I play a lot of CoD 6 and I can hear people sprinting to knife me from miles away. I would highly recommend it for any first person shooter. The headset is designed to combine the Xbox Live gaming chat with your standard gameplay sound. I must say at times it is hard to hear your fellow teammates over the noise of guns and harriers. This can be fixed by adjusting your sound settings. It is the only headset in the Ear-Force series that does not have a chat booster.
I have personally had no problems with the microphone that is built onto the left speaker. It is extremely flexible and can be moved into various positions to suit you. The headset has an overall sturdy build and I would recommend it for anybody who is interested in a better gaming experience.
