Mountain Dew UK
Background Info
Mountain Dew has finally come to the UK this month and as many geeks like myself live off energy drinks i felt that it would be appropriate to publish this blog here. Mountain Dew was in the UK in the early 2000's but never really took off. But the beginning of this month Pepsi slowly released Mountain Dew into the UK and can only be found in certain parts of the country.
Taste
This is my first real taste of Mountain Dew i have heard that the US version of Mountain Dew has more taste in comparison to the UK version. However the Mountain Dew in the UK is called Mountain Dew Energy. This is a exciting new name which contains real sugar and more caffeine! The taste of Mountain Dew is basically lemonade with a slight hint of lime, despite this it is very addictive.Probably the caffeine.
Conclusion
Tastes pretty good and addictive only downsides is that its extremely hard to get your hands on. And there is no benefit of getting the UK version of Mountain Dew if you live in the US.

In my opinion it tastes like Sprite, with lots of caffeine in it. Still nice though.
it tastes like flat sugary lemonade, still made me drink 6 bottles
I believe they are selling them in Sainsburys right now in the UK. I haven't seen them personally, but Twitter and Facebook certainly is!
They don't sell Mountain Dew where I live (the Netherlands), however I'm currently in Finland for 9 weeks and they actually sell Mountain Dew here! I was a bit disappointed in the taste though. For me, it really doesn't taste like much. I find the lime taste very weak and the sweetness doesn't come to it's right (I don't have the idea I'm drinking something sweet somehow). I tried the Diet Mountain Dew first (I just wanted to know what the difference actually is, since TheCreativeOne really doesn't like it, haha) and after this I tried the regular Mountain Dew. I do however taste a difference in Diet en Regular, but to me it's still the same tasteless taste.. Maybe my tongue is used to energy drinks like Red Bull, I don't know!
Nice to know that it's coming to the UK, this might mean it's coming to other European countries as well?
Energy in the UK isn't in my opinion, as nice as the original which you can get in cans on import for about £1.50/can. Energy is fizzier I think the extra caffine content spoils the overall taste, which is a shame.
I personally think that the taste could be stronger and i have to say that it didnt have the kick that i expected from it. Baring in mind the bottle is luminous acid green i was expecting strong stuff but it was just addictive lemonade.
