Facebook Malware on the Loose!

Facebook this weekend had an attack on its site and this has been its third attack in three weeks. The malware basically asks you for your e-mail and password and looks exactly like the Facebook home page. If you do comply and put in your e-mail and password the malware will download to your computer and on some occasions even figure out your home address! The malware is spread through a video, says WordSense; and when it is clicked it asks you for your password and e-mail. Then it tells you to install Media Player HD and then to download the FLV player. Right then, you should know that something is wrong. Never download any video that you aren't sure is safe! Even if this is bad, it gets worse. When you install the malware, it will then tell you that you have won an iPad and then it will ask you for your home address. Don't do it!

If you have already fallen for this attack, you must:

1. Change your Password

2. Uninstall the App

3. Then run a malware/virus scan on your machine.
