Cougar releases new products at Computex 2010

Cougar is Germany based manufacturer of high end computer power supplies and computer cases. This year Cougar is participating in Computex Taipei, held in Taiwan which is an electronics showcase similar to CES. Now enough jibber jabber, Let's go ahead and check out the actual press release from Cougar and see what's new in the Cougar line-up!

"At this year´s Computex show COUGAR presents all their new models, the complete lineup.

Visitors are especially interested in the 80Plus Gold certified GX-Series. The GX 1050

received the "Design & Innovation Award" from International Forum Design

(IFdesign.com). Only this Power Supply received this Award which is one of the

international most accepted Awards for Industrial Design.

For the new Series COUGAR released an overview which is arranged by the 80Plus Bronze,

Silver and Gold. Every user can easily find a PSU that will be suited for their needs

Also some comments to the release dates were given because the new series should have

arrived in May. Product Manager Christian Verfuerth explains the current situation:

"We want to release the new series in May but during the last few month we had some

problems to purchase the necessary components. The market for components has changed

very quickly and it is difficult to get the things we want to use. There is a general problem

in the component market now. So we had the choice between purchasing other

components or accepting a delay for the release dates. If we would had chosen the other

components we couldn´t guarantee the high quality. Because we didn´t develop the PSU

with other component ,so we don´t know exactly the impact on the current layout. So we

decided to wait and purchase step by step the necessary components. At the current status

we will release the new GX/SX/A-Series during the next weeks; we already have received

smaller quantities. We also don´t want to start with too small quantities so that after a few

days everything is not available again.

During the next days we will also update our website and publish some new information."
