HTC EVO 4G now available
Yes, the wait is finally over. The first 4G phone is now available. As expected the HTC EVO 4G was launched today, with much anticipation and hype.
If you do not recall from CTIA 2010, the HTC EVO was introduced as the first 4G phone, and the first phone to be on Sprint's WiMax network, the first of its kind in the US. The phone is packed with the best specifications around. A 4.3 inch screen, 4G connectivity, 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 1GB of built in memory, 512MB of RAM, and the usual GPS/WiFi/Bluetooth combination that is usually standard on smartphones. The phone also has a 8MP camera with dual LED flash (same as the Droid Incredible on Verizon), also a 1.3 megapixel camera for video chatting. The phone also has HDMI out, which is starting to be seen on newer phones. The phone runs on HTC's Sense skin over Android 2.1. The phone will run for $200 on a 2 year contract with Sprint, after a $100 mail in rebate.
Are you excited for 4G? Or will you wait for Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile to roll out LTE?
