Lynda.com Online Learning

I thought I would take some time and tell the community of TekSocial about a website I use when I want to learn something new in the software world. It is called Lynda.com and it has been around for several years already. The reason I particularly like it is because for less than buying overpriced coffee, I can spend an entire day, and when I say entire day, I mean I actually spent a whole 24-hours on that website just watching videos from instructors going over Photoshop, Illustrator, LiveType, Silverlight, and PaperVison3D and plenty of others.

Please don't think I'm trying to sell anything or give them any free advertising. I like them because when I went to ITT Tech. I had a book called Macromedia Flash MX 2004 published by Lynda.com.

The name of the class in which I learned the concepts and excerises was called Interactive Communication Design 1. My next course of the series was called Interactive Design 2, in which we learned more of the concepts in Flash, but also we dove right into at the time Macromedia Director MX 2004. I have to be honest here for a minute; while I didn't understand the reasons for trying cram all the information into one class, I do appreciate that the books we learned from can still be used to create great websites, CD-ROMs and DVD-ROMs. I enjoyed that class very much and wish more of my classes were like that.

Even though it is only 25 dollars that is still a little pricey. With all of the great free resources out there (not pirated.) They should at least have a free subscription.
