Samsung Galaxy S Unboxing
I was very torn between an Android phone or the iPhone 4. When the iPhone 4 was originally announced and given the release date of July in Ireland I began to save up money, as I was presuming it was going to cost €512 (without a contract), but oh, how I was wrong! With the iPhone 4 Apple increased the price from the previous €512 for the 3GS to €599. I was really not willing to pay €600 for a phone, €500 really was my threshold so, with the iPhone 4 out the window my other choices were the iPhone 3GS, HTC Desire or the Samsung Galaxy S. I didn't really want the iPhone 3GS because, well, it's old technology and I want the newest!
Then there was two. HTC Desire or the Samsung Galaxy S. I showed up to the Vodafone store willing to get the Desire, but, thanks to the AMOLED shorted it was out of stock. So then there was one. Which I ended up purchasing.
The Samsung Galaxy S features an amazing 4" Super AMOLED display, 1GHz Hummingbird processor, TouchWiz 3.0 UI, Multi-touch input method, 8GB or 16GB internal memory with microSD up to 32GB, 512 MB RAM, 2GB ROM, 5MP Camera with 720p HD video recording, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS, Android 2.1 (2.2 coming in September) and all the other typical android smartphone features.
