Visibility to Disability

My best friend, who I've known since preschool, has entered a contest to help bring visibility to children living with a disability. I've known him forever, and moved away across the country when I was about nine years old. About two years passed, and we found each other again through Facebook. Seriously, it's one of the reasons I'm so passionate about technology today. Through Facebook we've become reconnected, and I've been heading out on my own, with my own money I've made at my part time job, at age 16 for the past three years to spend my summers living with him & his family. He's like a brother to me, and lives his life to the fullest every single day like any other person, even with a C2 Spinal Cord Injury.

Anyway, he is an aspiring film maker, and has made a submission to the contest. He's been extremely busy this summer helping out with summers camps, and so his entry is a bit later than the rest, and therefore he's lacking some of the votes he could have gotten if he had gotten his entry in sooner. So, when he asked me to help spread the word, I knew I definitely had to post a blog.

It would mean so much to me if you could head on over to his submission, make an account and vote for him. It honestly takes a minute of your time, and would mean more than words can describe.

For more information on the contest, you can check out the Visibility to Disability page here.

Also, I just found this out after talking to my friend for a bit here tonight over Skype, for every vote he receives, one dollar get's donated to the BloorView Center in Ontario, which is a place that assists Disabled Children.
