Wrapsol Review

Overview: The Wrapsol Scratch Proof Protection Kit is a great alternative to having a case on your electronic device. The Wrapsol is a wet installation, so you will have to put some water on the clear skin before applying it to your device. It comes in a variety of types for a variety of devices. Wrapsol was very kind to send the protection kit my way to review. They were able to send me the Wrapsol Protection Kit for BlackBerry Storm.

What is Included: If you are wondering why I asked for Wrapsol for the BlackBerry Storm it is because that is the only device I own that is not scratched. The standard shipping arrives extremely fast. It was not expedited and arrived in about two days. I was pleased to find that Wrapsol had shown up at my door step so quickly! Many things are included in the package. Included in the box are the clear pieces (amount of pieces vary by device), the device solution in a glass bottle, a rubber squeegee, and a lint-free microfiber cloth, as well as instructions, etc. Everything included in the package besides the shields are reusable. They recommend uses for the extras included. I use the rubber squeegee as an eraser, the lint-free microfiber cloth for my devices (great quality), and the spray bottle for cleaning my products. The packaging is recyclable, and the reason behind why everything included isreusable/recyclable is because Wrapsol is apart of Cool Earth. Cool Earth is “… an international charity that protects endangered rainforest to combat global warming, protect ecosystems and provide sustainable jobs for local people”… These little things really impress me, and since I am an eco-activist, I tend to go towards these companies. The quality of the shield also impresses me, so lets talk about the shield and the installation. Enough about the extras.

Installation: To install the shield, you simply have to follow the instructions included. They are very easy to understand, and I had no difficulty comprehending them. To install the shield, you will have to wet your hands and the shield before you apply it on the device. Then, you smooth out the shield on the device with the included rubber squeegee. For the excess water that might come out, wipe the device down with the included microfiber towelette. As you can see everything you need to install the Wrapsol is included. The only thing that you might require to have is patience, and that varies by the person who is installing the shield. Once all of the pieces are properly aligned, you should wait 24-48 hours for the full, clear result to happen. Right after you install it, however, the device might look hazy. As I said, in 1-2 days, this will completely go away. Mine magically lost all of the haziness overnight.

Pros: I am very pleased to tell you the positive aspects of Wrapsol. A great feature of Wrapsol is that besides the screen film, the other film is an antiglare type material. It gives the device a better grip, and avoids scratches. My phone looks very sleek with an antiglare finish produced by the Wrapsol. When installing the film, I noticed that the screen shield was a thicker type of material. I like that the screen is heavily protected. I was a little bit nervous when I saw how thick the film was, as I thought my screen wouldn’t work, but in the end it did. Wrapsol definitely provides a thick amount of protectionagainst scratch protection. I think my phone will continue to look like new for a very long time. The overall protection of Wrapsol is truly fantastic. I honestly feel it is the best in the market. Another great pro of the film is that the touch screen sensitivity is preserved. I am glad that what they advertise lives up to the standards. Installing the film on the device falls into both pros and cons, as it really depends on how you find it. Ease of installation for me fell into both the pros and cons category, and I will explain that in the “Con” section of this review. Finally, another great pro is that Wrapsol is confident enough to give you a lifetime warranty. These are just a few of the great aspects of Wrapsol.

Cons: Unfortunately, there are two cons of Wrapsol. As I described in the “Pros” section of this review, the installation process falls into both the “Pros” and “Cons” section. I did not necessarily have an issue installing Wrapsol except when I moved on to the screen. I put the screen shield on saw that a lot of moisture was under the film. I knew this was supposed to happen, as it takes 1-2 days to settle and cure. Me, being a perfectionist, actually took the screen shield off an hour later and then I re-applied it. I was able to re-apply it very easily. I knew I wouldn’t have a problem. I didn’t and overnight the screen looked perfect. Lastly, a very, very, very tiny con is that on a blank white screen you can see a very tiny somewhat, oily look. This may be because it still needs some time to cure. This con is very un-noticeable, and I don’t want it to take away from the case. In the end, it was most likely a fault by me, or possible it just needs to cure in the sun. As you can see, there are barely anycons, and they are by far not things that take away from the case. Most likely, they are just mishaps by me.

My Final Thoughts: In the end, if you are looking for a clear scratch protection film kit, I recommend Wrapsol over all competitors. It truly meets my expectations of a screen shield, and I wouldn’t try anything less. Wrapsol is remarkably clear, and for me, it provides 100% scratch protection. I now enjoy using my BlackBerry case-less. I get to keep my BlackBerry bulk freebecause of Wrapsol. I highly recommend these products to anyone looking for protection kits for their device. Even with the little cons that are really a personal opinion, this is a unique alternative to a bulky case.

In the end, it comes down to this:

 What I Like:

  • Good Amount of Scratch Protection
  • Antiglare film for everything but screen. Smooth finish
  • Great Grip
  • Lives up to Standards

 What I Don’t Like:

  • Issues with application process (May not apply to all due to the way you handle the procedure)

I like brown AVIATOR ERMENEGILDO ZEGNA shades, is a bit low-key high-class, and yet it displays my style.
