All About the Sanyo VPC-CG102 HD Camcorder

First off I would just like to say that this camera is hands down the best video camera I have ever used in all of my life. It shoots in full HD, as well as four lower quality settings if you are trying to save battery or if you are running out of room on your SD card or iInternal memory. The colors are extremely vivid and the picture quality will blow you away when compared to its competitors, the Flip Ultra HD, and the Kodak ZI8. The other thing it has over these cameras is its 5x optical zoom. If you have ever owned a Flip Camera or a similar camera you probably know that the digital zoom isn't that great.

If you have ever owned a camcorder of any kind you probably know that the still photos it takes are usually low quality and just plain horrible. This is not the case whatsoever with The VPC-CG102. It's stills boast 14 megapixel quality and really make this camera worth buying for any YouTuber, vloger, or anyone who would like a great camera. Another great feature is its face detection system. This is great if your are taking a picture of a group of people or recording video of them, and since the camera has a 38mm wide angle lens you can even get more people into the picture.

I don't know about you but I have a very shaky hand when recording videos and taking pictures. This won't be a problem for you with this camera. It has image stabilization, which will make your shaky video look much better.

My only con with this camera is the battery life. The battery that it comes with is a tiny 3.7V 700 milliamp Lithium Ion Battery. I really think that Sanyo should have included a bigger battery in their design for a camera of this quality and capacity. This issue can be fixed easily by purchasing and extra battery which costs around twenty dollars. For my camera I purchased an extra one and I haven't had any worries, such as my battery dying while shooting or having to worry about the battery level. So unless you are shooting for many hours one extra battery should be sufficient.

I would definitely recommend this camera to anyone. It is super easy to use, has superb video and picture quality, it's packed with tons of features, and at its price point of $220 (amazon.com) it blows all of its competitors right out of the water.
