Apple to Release Verizon-Compatible iPad Models

When the iPad first appeared on Verizon with a Mi-Fi, it didn't seem that special, but the real reason that Apple did that was to show that the iPad was not AT&T exclusive and they won't hesitate to bring devices over to the network. Now the fact that you would have to carry around a Mi-Fi that wouldn't keep up with the battery of the iPad, didn't make a ton of sense. Now Verizon CFO, Francis Shamno, said in an interview that the iPad will become available with the embedded chip to work on Verizon's network. Unfortunately he declined to comment on an ETA.

Verizon iPhone Launches with Mobile Hotspot and Redesigned Antenna

The iPhone has finally come to Verizon, and well, all that has changed is the fact that the network. It will do all of the functions you get out of the AT&T iPhone and also has some slight changes. For starters it will feature mobile hotspotting (if that's a word), and loses the SIM card slot. Finally, the antenna has changed by having four spaces in the aluminum band. Tim Cook said that it is for the network configuration and declined to say whether that helped the reception issue (that wasn't really an issue). It will be available for pre-order on Feb. 3rd and will launch on the 10th. No word on unlimited data, but it is expected.
