Review: PocketBoom

The PocketBoom is an extremely portable speaker that generates music from your device using vibration sequences. If you attach the PocketBoom to any object such as a cup, box or desk and plug it into your iPod you have instant sound. It was very weird at first, but extremely interesting.

The PocketBoom works with most devices that have a 3.5mm headset port so you shouldn't have an issue finding a device that works with it. It comes in five colours, red, yellow, blue, purple and black. It uses AAA batteries or you can use it while plugged in via MicroUSB, which is a great because batteries are quite annoying.

Sound quality isn't amazing but then again, it is playing sound through vibration. But I was actually quite surprised at how good it was for what it is.

Build quality is actually very good. It consists of a hard plastic so if you drop it, the device will not sustain much damage. The only issue I had was the wires. The wires are very thin and I am extremely worried if they snap.

Other than that, the PocketBoom is a great product. I really thought it was a great product and with improvements, I can guarantee it will sell a lot more.

With thanks to MobileFun for sending me this review product.
