Has MW3 lived up to all the hype?

This article was originally posted on http://www.agamingsite.com

On Tuesday i joined the masses of people around the world and purchased the lastest installment from the guys at Infinity Ward; Modern warfare 3 was promised to combine all the best parts of Black Ops and MW3, however has it just instead copied everything from MW2?

Like most Call of Duty fans i haven’t been able to put the game down for the past few days, no matter how frustrating it can be at times. But when you look at the difference between it and MW2 you can only see one main change…the maps. Sure there are smaller changes such as slightly different weapons and the fact that they now have XP as well, however other then that not much is different. A lot of people have been complaining about the maps two, saying there’s to many “choke points” where you can get dropped easily by an opponent.
This article isn’t all negative though, for instance i love the game mode “Confirmed Kill” and think it shows a way to get rid of people who think the best way to play is to sit in a corner waiting; furthermore guns having XP is a great enhancement to the game.

So is the main problem with the game the fact that we’ve seen it all before, maybe the actual franchise is coming to its end and people just don’t have the same drive to play it anymore; and before someone comments with unbelievable sales figures, i understand it is still hugely popular, but will it still have the masses playing on it in the following months? Has MW3 lived up to all the hype?
