Speck CandyShell Flip for iPhone 4 Case Review

The Speck CandyShell Flip is the second iteration of Speck's immensely popular CandyShell line, that incorporates one key new feature... dock acessability. With the help over a small door at the bottom of the case, the whole bottom third of the case can be lifted up allowing you to insert the phone with the case on in to a dock.

The case itself is made from a hard glossy polycarbonate plastic on the outside, whilst the inside has a thin layer of soft silicone. This layer of silicone also has circles cut into into it, which besides looking awesome, also reduces the weight significantly.

Applying the case is extremely simple as you'd expect. The user simply slides one side in, then presses in the other side. Once applied, the case doesn't add much bulk, but the bulk it does add feels good in the hand. The glossy finish plastic also feels great, however is prone to scratches. Folding up the bottom part of the case is extremely simple, and as mentioned, can be used in conjunction with a dock, pictured to the right.

Overall the case is absolutely amazing and has but any flaws making it one of, if not my favourite case for the iPhone 4, and I'd highly recommend it for anyone with an iPhone and a dock. If you hate docks, or don't use one, the regular CandyShell is also amazing!

The Speck CandyShell Flip retails for $34.95 on Speck's website, over here
