MacMall Customer Service
On March 2nd I called up MacMall.com to order a small purchase. It was the Griffin TuneJuice Universal. The product price is $34.99 USD which was 10 dollars MORE than listed on Griffin's website. So, reluctantly I called the California company up and spoke to one of the "Account Executives". They were very nice, (and spoke well English) until it came time to what method of shipping I wanted.
It was a Wednesday when I ordered it at approximately 5P.M. EST. I looked on MacMall's terms ahead of time and it states that most cut-off times for shipping was 10P.M. EST. I had needed the product for the weekend so I opted for the FedEx Priority Overnight Shipping. It was supposed to get here on Thursday, the 3rd by 10A.M. EST. The "Account Executive" told me that is would be coming from an affiliate warehouse and that they couldn't garuentee that it would ship in time. Meanwhile their terms garentee it. So I asked her if I did not recive it on time, would I be refunded some of the shipping, because I paid $24.19 USD-JUST for shipping. She told me "NO" abruptly. So I purchased it and to my surprise, it did indeed show up at 9:11A.M. EST on Thursday. I was shocked.
I took the TuneJuice Universal out of the package, put the batteries in and plugged in my iPhone 3GS, and you know what happened? NOTHING!! It did NOT work at all! I was so disappointed, and actually the packaged looked like it was returned. I did not get a chance to call MacMall until Saturday morning. I spoke to a representative, and she told me that I would have to speak to a "Technical Support Agent". She put me on hold, and then told me that on the weekends they only have one tech agent, and that he would have to call me back later because he was not in. Two hours later he called me with NO knowledge of the device whatsoever! "Yes Sir, it doesn't power at all, the light doesn't light up." It was ridiculous. So when I told him I wanted a new product he said that I would have to wait until Monday to call the "Account Executive" I placed to order with.
So, you better believe that on Monday, my "Account Executive" will be hearing from me. If they ask if I would recommend them to a friend, I would say heck NO!
