Chrome OS on a tablet?
With the Google Chrome OS notebooks due out in the summer, rumours are going around on what Google could be hitting next with Chrome OS.
For those unaware, Chrome OS is Google's attempt at recreating the Operating System and the way we use it. Everything you do in Chrome OS will be saved in 'the Cloud' and everything you do is saved. Chrome OS is a browser OS, meaning that you need Internet access to use the computer.
Yesterday, a CNET reporter wrote an article talking about 'tablet indicators' in the latest version of Chrome OS.
Google's response...
We are engaging in early open-source work for the tablet form factor, but we have nothing new to announce at this time...Chrome OS was designed from the beginning to work across a variety of form factors. We expect to see different partners build different kinds of devices based on Chrome OS, but for this initial release we are targeting the notebook form factor.
