Excellent USB Keyboard - My Recommendation
Looking for an awesome music keyboard to plug into your computer? Whether you're wanting to compose some classical music, or you're like me and just want to rock out half the time, the M-Audio KeyRig 49 is a great affordable option for any musician. Decked out with four octaves, I have to say this keyboard suites the needs of anyone looking to save space without the demand of switching between octaves constantly, like on the one/two octave keyboards.
The M-Audio 49 is also equipped with a pitch bend rotator as well as one for modulation (i.e. texture changes in the sound), a volume slide, two octave buttons: up and down, and an ''Edit Mode'' button. On the back of the device there is a firewire to USB port to power the keyboard, and a quarter-inch jack for a sustain pedal. There is also a kensington lock slot on the opposite side.
I've been using this keyboard for about two years now and I've never experienced any problems with it! It has been used on projects within Garage Band, Logic Express, and even Finale.
But don't take my word for it, check it out for yourself:
