5 Things that Would Destroy Apple

  1. Apple should make a QWERTY iPhone

Without doubt this would put the iPhone's reputation down the drain. The whole idea behind the iPhone is that it is so minimalist and so easy to use that it appeals to almost everyone. Introducing a physical keyboard into the matter would just contradict what Steve Jobs said back in 2007 when he first introduced the iPhone, "A keyboard is too clunky."Which in its own right is true.

2. Scott Forstall should be CEO, not Tim Cook

As many of you know, Steve Jobs recently retired from his position as CEO of Apple. He "Strongly recommended" that Tim Cook should be the successor to Steve. But various people think different, these people state that Apple's senior vice president Scott Forstall who specialises in iOS Software should be the new CEO. Not only is this a foolish decision as he is still quite young and only specialises in software. People like Steve Jobs and Tim Cook who have been in the technology industry for quite some time and have a lot of experience in the hardware and software field. Steve Jobs made a fantastic decision when promoting Tim Cook and I wish him the best of luck for the future.

3. Apple should become less secretive

Apple is known world wide for always having that cloak of secrecy around itself. Rumors surround the company constantly and people are always on the look out for the slightest leak of information. Without this secrecy, all of Apple's employees would be wasting their time. Apple makes unique products and goes about ways in a different way to every other company, hence their slogan "Think Different." If all Apple's hard earned secrets where to be released, all the other company's would try and get there first and make money of something that isn't theirs, thus, putting Apple out of business. And who would want that?

    4. Apple needs to open up

Apple's software is basically all exclusive to the Mac platform, minus iTunes and Safari which are both very successful on both Mac and PC. But things like OS X, iOS, Aperture, Final Cut and many more are exclusive for the Mac, this is a smart move because it isn't just how the software is, it is what the software looks like based on a beautiful piece of hardware such as the Macbook Air. The way Windows runs on basically everything out there, is kind of annoying. Yes, there are some really great looking PC's but most of them are very cheap looking, you know the drill, plastic. Right? Where as you have a Mac which is so much more elegant and slick with its aluminium finish and minimal design it just looks right to have great software running on a insanely great machine.

    5. Apple should license iOS

Both Android and Windows Phone 7 are available on a variety of devices. Being an Android owner myself, some of these devices are actually really quite nice! But they all boast very similar specs, big screen, decent processor, 5mp camera, nothing unique here. Where as with iOS, only Apple phones and tablets can run this operating system. As I said before, it just looks right to have great software on an insanely great piece of hardware. If Apple where to license iOS it would go the same way as Android and Windows Phone 7. iOS is perfect the way it is and I am glad Apple has not whored it out to a tonne of manufacturers.
